Anyone out there?

In my free time as a newly retiree, I've been working on organizing and decluttering my room. I have far too many things and am the worst at getting rid of things! I always worry that I will need something someday or keep things because they remind me of X, Y, or Z.

I have more cookbooks than I know what to do with. As one of my goals for this year, I have to cook at least one recipe of out every cookbook. Whichever books I don't use will be given away at the end of the year.

I have also realized that I have insane amounts of stationery. As in, I could write a letter every day of the year for the next 10 years and still have lots to spare. Hit me up if you want to be snail mail pen pals!! (but seriously. i love pen pals!)

So in an effort to share the stationery love, I've decided to do a giveaway! Comment on this post with 3 things that are on your summer bucket list!! I will send a fun package of stationery to 3 lucky commenters!! I'll plan on sending the packages out June 1st so comment before then for your chance to win!!

xoxo

I just want to be your snail mail pen pal! I still love snail mail. I have also noticed that hardly anyone blogs anymore. Sad day...

But 3 things this summer I want to do....

I also want to go through all of my stuff and declutter and organize and redecorate a little in the process.

I want to go camping somewhere at least once a month this summer.

AND I want to throw another themed dinner party with all new recipes!

My summer bucket list includes making ice cream, visiting two new national parks, and sleeping under the stars!

I hope this finds you well, friend. Sure miss ya.

Hey, it's been forever! I saw your comment on my blog and figured this was the best way to respond. Congrats on quitting your job! Heck yes! That's seriously so awesome. I hope you're enjoying your time off. And I'm seeing you with this boy of yours on Instagram. I don't know any details, but I'm a fan.
To answer your question, health-wise, I've been reading the 100 Days of Real Food Blog (I also bought the book), Michael Pollan's The Herbivore's Dilemma, and a few other random sources (Have you heard of The Daniel Plan?--it's sort of a Christian take on whole body/mind wellness). And organization-wise, I'm still obsessed with The Art of Tidying. If you can get past the touchy-feely and craziness that is this woman, she drops some seriously insight and knowledge. As for summer bucket lists, I don't know if it'll happen this summer or just sometime this year, but I really want to learn how to cook a whole chicken in my crockpot. 100 Days of Real Food has a recipe and I'm excited to try it! Other than that, just being as lazy as humanly possible, trips to the beach, and lots of shaved ice. :) Fun catching up! Thanks for commenting--most of the time I'm 99% sure no one reads my blog, which is fine, but it's a nice surprise to find out someone read it! You're awesome, Erin!
