"Nothing is better than the riches of a sound body"
Funny. Thanks fortune cookie-I am well aware of this fact right now.
In other news, my doctor gave me the OK to run my last race to qualify for the NYRR 9+1 program for the New York Marathon next year before giving me the dreaded boot (Dec 21-mark your calendars). So while I won't be running in Rome I will be running the NY marathon next year!! YAY!! I am excited/nervous for this last run-it's 9 miles in the park. Eeeeek. Kind of a big jump from my 5 mile run last weekend. But I will finish-regardless of whether I run, walk, or crawl.
I'm putting together a playlist of my most favorite songs for this run but am in need of some good new music...any suggestions anyone?

I am convinced Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga, is THE BEST song to exercise, run, or dance to. It always gets me going. I feel like it has the same quality that the Rocky song or Eye of the Tiger has...
Yay! I'm glad your making progress with recovery. I love to run to anything Gaga, Sean Kingston's Fire Burning, Adele's Set Fire to the Rain, David Guetta's Memories, U2's Magnificent, Mumford & Son's The Cave, and Britney Spear's If U Seek Amy. Haha! How's that for random?
I hung out with Jess this weekend and we talked study abroad and laughed at so many ridiculous things. I would love to get together for lunch or something if you're in town for Christmas. Maybe we could grab Jess and whoever else is around.
I am putting good things out in the universe for you and your foot!! I'll be cheering you on from afar!!
Random, but I love running to Linkin Park "Waiting for the End." They don't have the angry sound so much anymore, but still a really good beat. And the lyrics really speak to me. :)
Erin! I am so sad to hear about your injury, and even more sad that you can't run in Rome :( But secretly, I would love to run the Rome marathon with you -- so next year? And I second Candace's comment -- let's definitely get together over the break when you are in town! I need some Erin time.
