Jr League?

So I'm considering joining the Jr. League out here. I'm going to an orientation meeting on Monday to see what it's all about. Does anyone know anything about Jr. League? Is anyone a member?

I have this theory that many of the organizations in the world are out there because not everyone has the benefit of being a part of the organizations we have within the church. For example, BYU doesn't need sororities/fraternities to create groups of friends for us because we have singles wards. The Junior League would be the equivalent of Relief Society (e.g. Their mission might sound familiar: "An organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable." So anyway, that was just a schpeel because I love sharing my theories. But I totally think you should join. What a great opportunity to meet new people and get involved in your community.

You totally should join! The only experience I have with it is the lady I used to nanny for - Holly - was heavily involved in the chapter here. A lot of times when I would help with the kids she was either going to meetings, or cooking for the meetings (she was an officer one year and that was her job...random...but I always got the leftovers). She LOVED it. She joined sometime after college before she had kids.
